The Green Pin Super® Bow Shackle BN redefines what a heavy-duty safety bolt shackle can be. By engineering a Grade 8 alloy steel construction into a more compact, lighter-weight body, the Super® BN delivers the same working load limit as conventional shackles — in a package that's significantly easier to handle, transport, and rig. For operations where crew efficiency, speed of assembly, and reduced physical strain matter, that size and weight advantage is felt on every lift.

Double Safety. No Accidental Disengagement.

Where standard bolt shackles rely on a single locking mechanism, the Super® BN features a dual-safety system — a safety bolt combined with a cotter pin — that provides two independent barriers against accidental pin unscrewing under load, vibration, or rotation. This makes the BN particularly well-suited to dynamic rigging, multi-leg sling assemblies, and any application where pin security cannot be left to chance.

An additional design refinement further protects the assembly: the recessed eye chamber conceals the screw thread from contact with wire rope, slings, and other counter components — significantly reducing wear on both the shackle and the connected hardware, extending service life across the entire rigging system.

Finished with hot-dip galvanization for long-term corrosion resistance and rated across a -40°C to +200°C temperature range, the Super® BN is built for sustained performance in offshore, marine, and heavy industrial environments. Available from 3.3t to 175t WLL (note: 150t and 175t sizes feature a round-headed bolt), it conforms to ASME B30.26 and meets the performance requirements of US Federal Specification RR-C-271, Type IVA, Class 3, Grade B.
