For applications where hook orientation needs to be adjusted before the lift begins, the LBK's swivel eliminates the awkward manual repositioning that fixed-eye hooks require, saving setup time and reducing handling strain on the rigging crew.

The GripLatch spring-loaded safety latch closes automatically and locks positively — giving riggers immediate visual confirmation that the hook is securely closed before the lift begins. The latch stays locked throughout the lift and releases only when the hook is unloaded, preventing accidental disengagement under dynamic loading, vibration, or incidental contact.

Important — Positioning, Not Rotation Under Load

The LBK's swiveling eye is designed for pre-lift positioning only. It does not incorporate a load-rated bearing and is not intended to rotate under load. For applications requiring in-lift rotation, a load-rated swivel hook should be specified instead. For the vast majority of chain sling applications where positioning before the lift is the requirement, the LBK is the right tool.

Forged from quenched and tempered alloy steel, proof tested to 2.5× WLL, fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles, and covering WLL from 5,700 to 22,600 lbs across chain sizes 9/32" to 5/8", the LBK meets EN 1677:2008 and ASTM A952/A952M to a 4:1 design factor.
