The Gunnebo GBK eliminates that risk entirely with the GripLatch system — a self-closing, spring-loaded latch that locks automatically the moment load is applied and stays locked until the hook is unloaded and intentionally released. No manual lock-off. No guessing. A quick visual check confirms closure, and the interlocking design between the latch and hook bowl provides an additional layer of protection against side impacts and accidental disengagement that standard safety latches simply can't match.

The GBK's heavy-duty clevis connector attaches directly to Grade 100 or Grade 80 lifting chain — eliminating the need for coupling links and reducing assembly complexity without compromising connection integrity. The clevis geometry also helps prevent mismatched chain connections, reducing the risk of incorrect grade pairing in multi-component sling assemblies.

Manufactured from quenched and tempered Grade 100 alloy steel, proof tested to 2.5× WLL, and fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles, the GBK covers chain sizes from 7/32" to 5/8" with WLL ranging from 3,306 to 22,600 lbs. Every hook carries a heat number stamp for full product traceability and complies with EN 1677:2008 (+25% WLL), ASTM A952/A952M, and AS 3776:2015 to a 4:1 design factor.
