When your lifting assembly connects directly to a crane hook, the master link has to be built for it. The Gunnebo MFH Master Link is purpose-engineered for full compatibility with crane hooks to DIN 15401 and DIN 15402 standards — combining a precision engineered flat section for correct seating and alignment with the forged alloy steel strength that Grade 100 multi-leg chain sling systems demand.

Engineered Flat — Correct Orientation Every Time

The MFH's defining feature is its engineered flat, which ensures the link seats correctly and consistently in the crane hook saddle — eliminating the misalignment risk that round-profile links can present in hook applications. Proper seating means full bearing engagement, optimized load distribution, and the kind of predictable performance that overhead lifting requires. For 1- and 2-leg sling configurations, the MFH is compatible with CL and CG components. For 3- and 4-leg assemblies, use with CLD or CGD components is required to maintain full rated capacity and assembly integrity.

Forged Alloy Steel. Globally Certified.

Manufactured from forged alloy steel to a 5:1 design factor, the MFH meets or exceeds EN 1677:2008 (+25% WLL), ASTM A952/A952M, AS 3775:2014, and AS 3776:2015 — covering European, North American, and Australian lifting certification requirements in a single component. WLL ranges from 16,530 to 61,712 lbs under EN 1677-4 and 17,632 to 61,712 lbs under ASTM A952, across sizes from 7/8" to 1-9/16".
