Built for Permanent and Semi-Permanent Rigging
The G-2130's alloy bolt, nut, and cotter pin configuration locks the pin securely in place, making it the correct choice for permanent or semi-permanent rigging connections where screw pins could back out under rotation or vibration. Every shackle carries permanent WLL and Grade 6 markings directly on the body — ensuring instant identification, accurate load planning, and full traceability throughout its service life.
Fatigue Rated. Proof Tested. No Shortcuts.
The G-2130 is fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles at 1.5× WLL for sizes 1/3t through 55t — a rigorous performance standard that confirms long-term reliability under cyclic loading conditions. Shackles rated at 85 metric tons and above are individually proof tested to 2× WLL, providing documented load verification on every large-capacity unit shipped.
Finish Options Engineered for Every Environment
Standard G-2130 shackles are stocked in hot-dip galvanized finish for superior corrosion resistance in marine, offshore, and outdoor service. Self-colored versions are available by special order. Sizes 3/8" and below receive mechanical galvanizing. The 85t, 120t, and 150t models feature hot-dip galvanized bows with Dimetcote® coated and red-painted bolts. Rated for service from -40°C to +204°C (-40°F to +400°F).
Certification for the Most Demanding Projects
The G-2130 meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 and US Federal Specification RR-C-271H, Type IVA, Grade A, Class 3. DNV type-approved models (G-2130OC) cover the 3.25t to 25t range, certified to DNV Certification Notes 2.7-1. ABS type approval is available per 2016 Steel Vessel Rules. Standard 3.1 certification available from 3.25t to 25t.
